Red Hibiscus Foundation

The Red Hibiscus Foundation was created by Zoë my dear friend to provide a lasting legacy for the community.

Her foundation funded the first year of the Aldergrove Neighbourhood Services Society’s at-risk youth program. Zoe was very excited about this project and her generosity is sure to make a significant impact in helping troubled youth.

Italian POPERA Sensation Romina Arena to Join every WOMAN - Vancouver

every WOMAN Events is pleased to announce that Italian POPERA sensation, Romina Arena, will share her story and perform at the every WOMAN - Vancouver Celebration of Movement Dinner at 7pm on Saturday, October 3 at The Pacific Palisades Hotel. She has a movie about her life story in the works, has just completed her first book, is working on her second book, and her new album, PREMONITION, is slated to launch in spring 2010.

Romina Arena: The only Female “POPERA” Artist in the World: from Personal Tragedy to Stardom

Romina has performed with Pavarotti and toured  with Andrea Bocelli. She has performed for the Pope at the Vatican, for former US President Bill Clinton at the White House, and on the Celine Dion stage at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. At age 15 she was attacked by a jealous entertainer in Italy, with vocal chords severed, and left comatose for 18 months. Romina, with miraculous determination not only survived the attack, but has completely recovered to become a European Superstar with a five octave vocal range. Romina will share her incredibly inspiring story and beautiful voice culminating every WOMAN – Vancouver: A Day of Activity at The Pacific Palisades Hotel on October 3 at 7pm. “She is beautiful, talented and courageous, and she will touch the lives of everyone who attends,” says every WOMAN co-founder, Kerri Carlson. Inspiring Through Physical Activity – every WOMAN: A Day of Activity invites women (all shapes and sizes) to participate in a selection of back-to-back fitness and wellness workshops all in one day. Featuring Yoga, Nordic Walking, Nia, Hip Hop, Pilates, Zumba, Charleston, Pole Dancing, Diving, Masters Swimming, Synchro Swimming, Hypnotherapy, Salsafit, Aromatherapy, Sensual Etiquette, Nutrition, Laughter Yoga, Personal Goal Setting and much more.

SALMON CELEBRATION

“Remembering Our History, Celebrating the Living”
The 6th annual “Salmon Celebration” will take place on BC Rivers Day,
Sept 27th 2009 in Vanier Park, near the Vancouver Maritime Museum.
12PM – 430 PM

The Salmon Celebration is a FREE EARTH AND WATER FESTIVAL AND PARADE for all ages to:
- honour the spirit of the salmon that historically lived in the streams that flowed into Eastern False Creek
- connect the urban public with local groups who study salmon, save wilderness and encourage urban sustainability
- We are also proud to be part of the events that celebrate September 2008 as “Wild Salmon Month” in Vancouver
