September’s Man of the Month was:
Thomas Kevin Dolan
Here’s a little bit about him:
As an outgoing self-starter I thrive on challenge, and new, expanding possibility. I also know that be-ing is far more powerful than do-ing. I believe in myself and those that I surround myself with. I have the gift of conversation, love the arts and travel, maintain a great sense of humour and live life to the fullest. My purpose in life is to be the healer the world is waiting for.
And here’s how he answered my 6 questions about creativity:
What inspires your creativity?
The laughter of my two nephews Jaret & Dorian. The silence as it whispers and reminds me there is nothing to do, all I intend is already here. The joy of gazing into the eyes of someone I love, they are simply my mirror.
How do people respond to your creativity?
Often times it’s with a desire to join my journey. I’m usually not along for long as I open to the forces of creativity.
What is the wildest journey your creativity has taken you on?
I’ve expressed my anger at God. Creativity supported me in releasing the anger and having the best yelling and crying fit I’ve ever had – in fact I lost my voice for two days as a result.
Who loves you for your creativity?
My partner, family, friends, clients, me and those that claim that are ‘not’ creative.
In which ways do you see yourself as Breaking New Ground?
Encouraging people to reveal their ‘shadows’ – their old blueprints that have been running their lives and ultimately no longer works for them.
What’s next for you?
I have no idea… yet I trust it already exists… I’m simply going to be open to the whisper of Spirit like I’ve always been.
And here’s something that inspires his creativity:
Morning Prayer:
Today I awake to start my journey all over again. I understand that I will most likely face both inner and outer adversaries and tests, which will challenge me on the path to my Happiness. I accept that these challenges are necessary for the development of my Highest Potential and that they are actually a gift from the Universe, even if I cannot see it right now.
I am grateful for the friends and assistance I have along the way, and acknowledge that they too are gifts from the Universe. I cannot do this alone so I consider all of those who I encounter, even perceived enemies, as allies. For in we are all one in Spirit and here to help each other develop dormant parts of ourselves; and sometimes the only way to grow is through overcoming adversity.
The choices I make today will be for my best interest, and I will put my faith and self-esteem to the test by choosing to do the things which will require action and courage.
I will conquer one more fear today so that when this day is over, I will be one day wiser and my heart will be one day closer to being open to Love.
There is no one else like me in the whole world, so I step forward into this day fully accepting and loving whatever may come and am grateful for the opportunity to be exactly who I am.
